Hi! I’m an artist, illustrator & surface pattern designer from Austria living in Portugal. In 2020 I founded my art brand designsoup by alix and started designing for the areas of home décor (art prints), lifestyle (tote bags), tech (phone & laptop covers), stationery (notebooks), and more.

My preferred digital medium to work with is Procreate, but I also work in Adobe Illustrator. Offline, I love playing with gouache & ink. Influenced by the rolling hills, the sand dunes, and the deep blue ocean in my surroundings, I often draw beach-inspired pieces and landscapes. Most of my Algarve-specific pieces land on postcards. Other than that, I love painting still lifes, fruit, flowers, women, cats, and pot plants in bold & fun colours.

You can find my art & designs on several POD sites and platforms like Society6, FY!, and Artfully Walls. Some of my art has been licensed to various companies by Pictufy. Anthropologie has licensed one of my pieces.

If you live in the Algarve in Portugal or are here for a visit, you can find my art in several shops like Retro Sailor in Sagres, Maluka Collective in Praia da Luz, The Hive in Aljezur or Hostel Do Mar, Pensão das Dunas and Alecrim in Carrapateira.
