The ‘Do Less’ List –
Plan For More White Space in The New Year
2023 is coming to an end and everyone’s getting busy putting their goals and to-dos for the new year down on paper.
I’ve done it and felt inspired by the rush of a brand-new year to reach for the stars.
Sadly, this energy would stop coursing through me by the beginning of February at the latest and I’d abandon my overwhelmingly long to-do list.
A week or so ago, I read a newsletter by Minimalism Life, which strongly resonated with me. It discussed creating a ‘remove list’ instead of a ‘to-do list” to encourage eliminating things over adding more stuff to our lives.
“Creating ‘white space’ in our lives is essential. Setting aside time with no specific agenda allows for rest, reflection, and connection with our inner selves. In these quiet moments, we often find peace and clarity.” (Minimalism Life)
As someone who is often stretching themselves very thin, I truly love this idea and I’m embracing this concept of embarking on a year of simplicity in 2024. Who’s in?
If you click on my blog post from a few years ago below, you can see that I already toyed with this idea before. I just needed another reminder :)
